Specialized Support for Diverse Client Communities
✔️ Indigenous Clients

I reserve part of my caseload for Indigenous clients due to a personal connection to Indigenous heritage within my family. Growing up, this heritage was a source of confusion and tension, and working with Indigenous clients supports both my personal growth and my development as a therapist. I also served for over 1.5 years as a mental health therapist in a fly-in Indigenous community in northern Labrador, where I worked with clients of all ages, led seminars, chaired sharing circles, and supported the health-care team. That experience deepened my understanding of generational trauma, community challenges, and the broader context shaping the lives of Indigenous peoples in Canada.


✔️ Veterans & Federal Government Workers

I bring personal and professional insight into military culture. I served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1985–1993 as a naval officer and completed basic training and officer training through Queen’s University and Esquimalt, BC. More recently, I trained with the Veterans Transition Network, supporting service members as they adjust to civilian life. These experiences help me understand the unique stresses, values, and transition challenges faced by veterans.


✔️ Motor Vehicle Injury (MVA) Individuals

I offer dedicated support to individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents, recognizing how deeply these events can affect both the body and mind. MVA clients often navigate complex challenges—physical pain, emotional distress, disrupted routines, and the stress of insurance processes. My approach combines compassionate counselling with practical strategies to help you regain stability, manage trauma responses, and rebuild confidence in daily life.
